Guide to Calathea
The Calathea is a genus of plants belonging to the family Marantaceae of which there are several species. Native to the humid climates of the Tropical Americas the Calathea has become hugely popular as an indoor office plant or house plant due to its highly decorative foliage. In its native habitat many Calathea species are threatened due to habitat destruction.
